Peter and his beloved jacket

Peter was a young man when he suffered a mental breakdown. He was so distraught he attempted suicide and jumped from a bridge, never to walk again. After many years of therapy, loving care and good friends, he could enjoy a day at the Rhinebeck Country Fair. This event was a day he looked forward to every year. A family friend would load Peter and his wheelchair into his van and off they would go.

On a beautiful late summer evening at this very fair, this lovely friend of Peters’ purchased him a dream come true- a leather motorcycle jacket.a tribute to what might have been for Peter and a reminder of what was yet possible. This photograph is 30×40″ framed in black with a white matt.It hangs in a prominent spot in Peter’s family home. Peter passed away at the age of 50 and this image gives his parents comfort and joy to know Peter had dreams .
