A trip to the 1939 World’s Fair and a memorable License Plate
This license plate tells the story of George and Zelda, a young couple in love, traveling from Camden NJ to NYC to visit the 1939 World’s Fair.
They would have traveled on two lane highways all the way to NYC from Camden Nj, experiencing several flat tires along the way. The interstate was under construction, however the Holland Tunnel opened 7 years earlier.
George was an avid science buff and Zelda had great love for travel. This trip was the beginning of a 60 year journey, as a couple, as a family with 4 children and as two travelers, seeing the world, always together.
two adult children picked two different versions, one with a white background the other along with the poster image from the World’s Fair, with a black background . I think both look absolutely stunning and recall a date that created a marriage
